Cole Davies is a champion. Cole claimed the 250SX East title at the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. He clinched the crown a round early in a rain-soaked main event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. 

Heavy rain turned the Philadelphia round into the first full-blown mudder of the season, with track position and a patient approach proving to be the keys to victory. Davies seized control early, absorbed a red flag stoppage and staggered restart, and never looked back, riding away from the field to win by nearly 13 seconds.

Davies won five of the nine East rounds across the season, producing a campaign that was as dominant as it was composed. With the title already secured, he then closed out the Supercross season in style, cruising to his sixth win of the year at the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown in Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium, putting the finishing touch on a breakthrough campaign.

The achievement carries extra weight given everything that went into getting here. Four or five years ago, Davies sat in mentor Ben Townley’s living room and mapped out a step-by-step plan to race and win in the United States, and he has followed it exactly. In doing so, he became just the second New Zealand native to win a Supercross title, joining Townley himself. At 18 years old, in only his second professional season, that is a result that speaks for itself. Matthew Macalpine, Founder of Owlpine Group, said the title reflects years of sacrifice, a clear plan, and belief in Cole’s future at the top level. The 250SX East is one of the most competitive titles in American Supercross, and champions are not made overnight. We are incredibly proud of what Cole has achieved.
